Posted: 10 Sep 2007 Well, well, another Belgian ;-) Dear Jean, Your picture ... http://homepage.mac.com/jdelacre/.Pictures/Faune%20wallonne/ D9-18-02.jpg ... is not Lissotriton vulgaris (ponctuÚ) but L. helveticus (palmÚ). Furthermore, the large dots on the tail, the partly (dark,) webbed hindtoes, swollen cloacal region and the pattern on the head indicate that this is a male, despite the swollen belly. g's, J.
